Week of October 8, 2007

Dear Parents,

Our class had its first visit with Mr. Duncan, from the Artist in Residence program. Students first learned about and shared their knowledge of the Petroglyphs that can be found in Arizona. They then had the opportunity to create an individual Petroglyph, including a message with traditional Native American symbols. Our class seemed to really enjoy the experience.

In Take-Home-Tuesday this week there was information regarding the PTSA sponsored Carnival of the Stars which will be held Saturday, November 3rd, from 12:00pm-4:00pm. If you are interested in purchasing tickets or working in one of the activities, please send the information back with your student.

Just a reminder, goodies for all of the parties must be store purchased.

I am really looking forward to meeting with all of you next week.
